The house
A wooden terrace, a pool kept for your stay and the landscapes of the Pays d’Auge all around: the Chalet Normand welcomes up to 4 people in Les Champeaux, in the Orne. On your own, as a couple, with family or with friends, you have a self-contained house where you can live at your own pace.
The Chalet has two connecting bedrooms with double beds, a fitted kitchen open to the living area, a hanging stove and reversible air conditioning. Pets are very welcome.
A heated pool for the sole use of Chalet guests
The outdoor pool runs alongside the terrace. It is reserved for Chalet Normand guests only during their stay, and heated to 26°C throughout its opening season. You can enjoy it from 1 May to 30 September; it may stay open longer if the weather allows.
With the house, the terrace and the pool side by side, you can plan your day without leaving the Hameau: breakfast outdoors, some time with a book and a swim when you come back from a visit. The garden furniture and the parasol give you a place to stay close to the water.
If you are travelling after 30 September, get in touch with us to find out whether the pool can stay open. The pool is seasonal; access to the hot tub is included all year round, with a time slot to book in advance.
An open living area full of light
Cooking and time together
Under the painted roof timbers, the fitted kitchen and its bar lead on from the sitting room. You can cook while staying together, sit down to a meal of market produce or choose to have dinner on the terrace. The layout suits a few days of rest just as well as a longer holiday.
Comfort through the seasons
The hanging stove gives the living area its character. The reversible heat pump warms the Chalet in winter and cools it in summer. The windows have solar-powered roller shutters, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. It is a pleasant place to come back to after a day outdoors.
Two bedrooms with double beds, one leading into the other
The first bedroom
It has a double bed and leads into the second bedroom. If you are staying on your own or as a couple, the whole house is still yours.
The second bedroom
Also with a double bed, it lies beyond the first, so you walk through one bedroom to reach the other. This layout is worth bearing in mind if you are coming with friends, or with children who keep different hours.
The Chalet sleeps up to 4 people. The shower room has a shower and twin basins.

Add a moment to unwind or a leisurely breakfast
The Hameau’s outdoor hot tub, heated to 38°C under its wooden gazebo, is included in the price of your stay. Book your time slot in advance: the space is yours alone for the session. Bathrobes, towels and slippers are provided.
Sweet, savoury and mixed breakfasts are available as an optional extra at €13, €15 and €17 per person. To make the morning last, choose the signature brunch at €24 per person, from 11am. It is served in your house, or outside when the weather allows.
Your chalet in the Pays d’Auge
The Chalet Normand is at 1258 chemin des Manis, 61120 Les Champeaux, near Camembert and Vimoutiers. Markets, cheese dairies and the lanes of the bocage (hedged farmland) let you mix swims, visits and walks. Free parking is available on site.

Can I rent the Chalet for just one person?
Yes. You book the whole house for your stay on your own. Check the calendar to see the price for your dates.
Can we book the Chalet and Reinette Grise together?
Yes, subject to availability: the two houses can welcome up to 10 people in all, across four bedrooms. Get in touch with us to plan your stay and agree how the facilities will be shared.
Who is the pool for?
The pool is for Chalet guests only. If your group books both houses, how it can be used is to be agreed with your hosts before you book.
Are pets welcome?
Yes, pets are welcome at the Chalet. Just let us know when you book.
Can I rent the Chalet outside the summer?
Yes, depending on availability in the calendar. The reversible air conditioning also provides heating. As for the pool, please bear in mind its seasonal opening dates.
