Half-timbering, light falling on the beams and a garden open to the meadows give Reinette Grise the feel of a country house. In Les Champeaux, in the Pays d’Auge, this self-contained gîte welcomes up to 6 people for a holiday on your own, as a couple, with family or with friends.
The whole house is yours, with two bedrooms including a master suite, a fitted kitchen, an open fireplace, reversible air conditioning in both bedrooms and a large private garden. Here you can share a meal together just as easily as settle in alone or as a couple and enjoy the space.
On the ground floor, the sitting room draws everyone together by the fire. The dining room is made for family meals, conversations after a walk and evenings you would rather not cut short. The fitted kitchen lets you prepare a simple lunch or cook what you have brought back from the market.
This independence is also part of the pleasure of a stay of several days: you set your own hours and can come back home for lunch between two outings. Wi-Fi is available to plan your visits or stay in touch while you are on holiday.
In fine weather, the terrace, the garden furniture and the barbecue extend the house outdoors. Under the trees, you lay the table in the shade, open a book or watch the meadows change colour. The garden is private: it is part of your rental and of your days at the Hameau.
Upstairs, the master suite has its own bathroom and WC. It is one of the two bedrooms in the house. The beams and the views over the countryside keep the character of the place, while giving you a quiet space to come back to.
The second bedroom completes the sleeping space under the roof. Reinette Grise can welcome up to 6 guests in all. If you are coming with children, several couples or have particular sleeping needs, please get in touch: we will explain how the beds are arranged before you book.

The Hameau’s hot tub, under its wooden gazebo facing the meadows, is open all year round and included in the price of your stay. Book your time slot in advance with your hosts. The space is yours alone during that time; bathrobes, towels and slippers are provided.
Breakfast can be booked as an optional extra: sweet at €13, savoury at €15 or mixed at €17 per person. From 11am, the signature brunch is offered at €24 per person. Depending on the season, you can enjoy your tray indoors or in the garden.
Reinette Grise is at 1258 chemin des Manis, 61120 Les Champeaux. Camembert and Vimoutiers are close by for your first visits and your holiday shopping. Walks through the bocage (hedged farmland), cheese dairies and markets offer another way to discover Normandy, day by day.
