Le Hameau des Prés-Verts in Les Champeaux
in the Pays d’Auge

A Norman house, a wooden chalet and meadows all around: Le Hameau des Prés-Verts lies in Les Champeaux, in the Orne part of the Pays d’Auge. Loïc and Stéphane welcome you there in two self-contained houses, so you can live Normandy at the pace of your stay.

The address is 1258 chemin des Manis, 61120 Les Champeaux. Camembert and Vimoutiers are close by for your first discoveries; then the lanes of the bocage (hedged farmland) lead on to Livarot, the villages and the heritage of the region.

Two houses, each with its own character

Reinette Grise and Norman architecture

Half-timbering, beams and a fireplace give Reinette Grise its identity. The house has two bedrooms, including a master suite, and sleeps up to 6. Its large private garden lets you eat outside, read in the shade and enjoy the countryside as an extension of the house.

The Chalet Normand, open to the outdoors

The Chalet pairs a large living room with a wooden terrace looking onto a heated pool reserved for its guests. It sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms with double beds, one leading into the other. The open kitchen, the suspended wood stove and the reversible air conditioning keep the Chalet comfortable in every season.

Solo travellers and couples can book either house. Both have a fully equipped kitchen and Wi-Fi, and both welcome pets.

Compare our houses

If you are coming as a larger group, you can book both houses together, depending on availability. Together they sleep 10, shared between the two houses. Get in touch with us to arrange the beds and the details of your stay.

A welcome that leaves room for your own pace

You rent the whole house and plan your meals and outings as you please. For a morning prepared at the Hameau, breakfast can be booked as an option. Access to the hot tub at 38 °C is included in the price of a stay in either house: book your private slot in advance.

Part of the comfort of a stay lies in this freedom to choose: heading off to a market, coming back to cook, booking an outing or simply keeping a day at the house. Loïc and Stéphane are here to help you prepare your visit and to answer any practical questions.

For a holiday of several days, the Hameau makes a starting point for the Pays d’Auge and the north of the Orne. You can explore a village, devote a day to heritage, or alternate outings with rest at the house.
