A gîte near Saint-Pierre-en-Auge
to discover its markets
The market hall, the Monday market and the abbey buildings make Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives an outing worth planning during your holiday. From Le Hameau des Prés-Verts, at Les Champeaux, allow about thirty-five to forty minutes by car to reach this small town, part of Saint-Pierre-en-Auge.
Both our houses have a fully equipped kitchen, so you can bring home your market shopping and cook for yourselves, at Reinette Grise for up to 6 guests or at the Chalet Normand for up to 4.

Discovering Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives in Saint-Pierre-en-Auge
Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives is part of the municipality of Saint-Pierre-en-Auge. It is still the name you will find for the market hall, the abbey and much of the visitor information. When planning your route, enter the exact place you want to reach.
The town lends itself to a market morning followed by a stroll, or to an outing centred on its heritage. From the Hameau, you can fit it into a stay in the Pays d’Auge while keeping a house in the countryside to come back to.
The Monday market around the hall
The weekly Monday morning market is a chance to discover local produce in a historic setting. Allow time to wander along the stalls and choose the ingredients for your meal. A cool bag comes in handy if you carry on sightseeing before heading back.
The market schedule may change in special circumstances. Check local announcements before you set off, especially around a public holiday.
Rounding off the outing with some heritage
The market hall and the town centre
The timber roof frame gives the hall its character. Take the time to look at the architecture and wander the nearby streets. This stroll goes well with your shopping, with no need to rush off somewhere else straight away.
The abbey buildings
The abbey church and the neighbouring historic buildings let you explore further. Check access conditions and the programme to find out which spaces are open and whether any tours are on offer on your dates.
A house for cooking your market haul
Reinette Grise has a dining room, a large private garden and a barbecue. It has two bedrooms, including a master suite. The Chalet Normand has an open-plan kitchen and two interconnecting bedrooms; its heated pool is for Chalet guests only during the season.
Both houses welcome solo travellers as well as couples, and pets are welcome. You can also book breakfast as an extra, for the mornings when you would rather start the day at home.
Planning your stay in the Pays d’Auge
The Hameau is at 1258 chemin des Manis, 61120 Les Champeaux. A car makes it easier to get to Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives and other outings. If you stay several days, you can alternate this visit with Camembert, Livarot or a walk around your house.
