A romantic stay in Normandy

Waking up together, a walk through the bocage (hedged farmland) and a house to come back to for the evening: the Hameau des Prés-Verts welcomes you for a romantic stay at Les Champeaux, in the Orne. You can come for a romantic weekend, a few days midweek or a holiday for two.
Both our houses lend themselves to this kind of stay. Choose Reinette Grise for its half-timbering, its fireplace and its large private garden; or the Chalet Normand for its contemporary interior, its terrace and its heated pool reserved for its guests.
Two houses to share as a couple
Reinette Grise and the charm of a Norman house
Settling into Reinette Grise as a couple means enjoying the space of a whole house. You cook together, have lunch in the garden and come back to the beams and the fireplace when the weather turns cooler. The house has two bedrooms, including a master suite with its own bathroom and WC.
Sleeping up to 6 people does not make it a gîte for groups only: couples are just as welcome. The private garden lets you live outdoors as soon as the season allows.
The Chalet Normand and its terrace by the water
At the Chalet, the open-plan kitchen carries life on beneath the timber roof frame. The suspended stove keeps the evenings company, and reversible air conditioning keeps you comfortable whatever the season. The house has two bedrooms, one reached through the other, and sleeps up to 4 people, while remaining a pleasant place for two.
The pool, heated to 26 °C, is reserved exclusively for guests of the Chalet, from 1 May to 30 September, and may stay open longer if the weather allows.
A private hot tub for your time together
Beneath its wooden gazebo open to the meadows, the outdoor hot tub is heated to 38 °C all year round. Access is included in the price of the stay for guests of both houses, with a slot to book in advance. During your session, the space is reserved for your party: you enjoy it together, without sharing it with other guests.
Bathrobes, towels and slippers are provided. Contact your hosts in advance to choose your time. The hot tub is within the Hameau, outside the houses; there is no extra charge for using it.
A generous morning without leaving your house
Breakfast is available as an option and served in your house or outside, depending on the season: sweet at €13, savoury at €15 or mixed at €17 per person. Depending on your choice, it brings together pastries, freshly squeezed fruit juice, cheese and eggs cooked the way you like them.
Your stay keeps its freedom: make your own coffee and meals in the kitchen, head out to a market or choose to be served. From 11am, the signature brunch at €24 per person stretches the morning out with its buns and home-made brioche, its eggs and its sweet treats.
Ideas to extend your romantic stay
A visit to Camembert, a wander through the half-timbered villages or a stop at a local producer is enough to fill a day. If you stay longer, you can go on to Lisieux, discover the castle at Falaise or plan a trip to the sea.
Keep one day free from driving, too: reading in the garden, walking nearby and booking the hot tub can be the whole programme. Pets are welcome in both houses if you would like to bring yours along.
