At the Chalet Normand, the pool is part of the pleasure of staying on site. This outdoor pool, heated to 26 °C, is for the exclusive use of Chalet guests. It runs alongside the Chalet’s wooden deck, in Les Champeaux, in the heart of the Pays d’Auge.
The pool is open from 1 May to 30 September. Depending on the weather, the season may be extended. The Chalet sleeps up to 4, for a stay on your own, as a couple, with family or with friends.
A pool reserved for your house
Straight from the Chalet’s deck to the water
Just a few steps separate the living room, the deck and the pool. The garden furniture and parasol let you settle by the water, with the meadows on the horizon. You can spend a whole day at the Hameau, or come back for a swim after an outing in the Pays d’Auge.
For Chalet guests only
Booking Reinette Grise on its own does not include access to the pool, which is not open to the public. For a stay with a pool at the Hameau, it is the Chalet Normand you need to choose. Knowing this helps you pick the house that suits the stay you have in mind.
Opening dates and water temperature
The pool is heated to 26 °C during the season, from 1 May to 30 September. If you are coming outside this period, get in touch to find out whether the season may be extended, depending on the weather. Extra opening is not automatic.
Stays in spring and September also let you combine outings into the bocage (hedged farmland) with time by the water, within the stated season. If swimming is at the heart of your plans, please check this with us before booking your dates.
The Chalet Normand, for up to 4 guests
The house has a fully equipped kitchen open to the living area, a hanging wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi and reversible air conditioning. Each of its two bedrooms has a double bed, and they interconnect: you walk through the first to reach the second.
The kitchen and the deck make it easy to prepare meals on site. The Hameau’s breakfast can also be booked as an extra. Pets are welcome at the Chalet.
A day of swimming and exploring the Pays d’Auge
You can spend a morning in Camembert, go to the market in Vimoutiers or discover the local produce of Livarot, then head back to the house. That way, your stay keeps a balance between outings and time at home.
For a change from the pool, the outdoor hot tub at 38 °C is included in the price of your stay all year round. Book your time slot in advance to enjoy the space in private.

No. It is open from 1 May to 30 September, and the season may be extended depending on the weather.
Can we enjoy it with children?
The Chalet welcomes families of up to 4 people. An adult must be present and keep a close eye on children around the pool and while they swim. Please get in touch with any questions about the equipment and the pool rules.
What if we book both houses?
The pool remains part of the Chalet Normand. If you are booking both houses together, tell your hosts about your plans so they can confirm access arrangements for your group before you book.
How do I choose the right dates?
Check the Chalet’s calendar and make sure your stay falls within the opening season. For any possible extension dates, ask your hosts to confirm.
