Privacy and personal data
This page explains how personal data is used when you contact Le Hameau des Prés-Verts or book a stay. It sets out who receives this information, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights.
Last updated: 1 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the operator of Le Hameau des Prés-Verts: FAUBOURG 61, an SAS registered under SIREN 995 235 421, whose contact details appear in the legal notice.
For any question about your data, you can write to contact@lehameaudespresverts.com or to the following address: Le Hameau des Prés-Verts, 1258 chemin des Manis, 61120 Les Champeaux, France.
The data we use and why
Your enquiries
When you write to us, we use the information you provide to reply and to prepare your request: name, contact details, intended dates, number of guests and the content of your message. Required fields are marked in the form; without the necessary information, we cannot deal with your request.
For an enquiry made before a booking, the processing is based on the pre-contractual steps taken at your request. For other messages, the applicable legal basis is to be provided.
Checking availability and booking
Your dates and the number of guests are used to search for available accommodation. When you book, the information needed to organise and invoice your stay is collected: identity, contact details, address and anything that helps us welcome you.
This processing is used to prepare and carry out your holiday rental contract. Some information is also kept to meet the operator’s accounting and legal obligations.
Payment and technical operation
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered in the provider’s own payment system; the Hameau never receives your full card number.
Hosting the website may generate technical logs, including your IP address and the pages requested, to keep it running and secure. The legal basis, the exact data and the retention period of these logs are to be provided.
Recipients and service providers
Your data is accessible to the people authorised to handle your request or your stay. It may be passed to the service providers involved in the services concerned:
- Brevo, to deliver messages sent through the contact form.
- Smoobu, to manage availability and bookings.
- Stripe, for payments.
- Vercel, to host the website.
- Google Fonts, cdnjs and jsDelivr, for external resources loaded by the website, depending on the configuration in use.
Loading an external resource may send technical data, including your IP address, to the provider concerned. The list of service providers must match the services actually in use.
Your data is never sold or rented. Any transfers outside the European Economic Area, and the corresponding safeguards, are set out here: Vercel, in the United States, hosts the website; these transfers are made under the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, and a copy of these safeguards is available on request.
How long we keep data
Data is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes described, then deleted or archived where the regulations require it.
- Enquiries without a booking: as long as it takes to reply and follow up on your request, and no longer.
- Booking data and follow-up of the stay: for the duration of the stay and its follow-up, then for the period the law requires for accounting purposes.
- Accounting records: kept for ten years in line with the applicable obligations.
- Technical logs: the short period set by the host for the security of its service.
Cookies and audience measurement
This website sets no cookies and uses no trackers: no audience measurement, no advertising, nothing stored in your browser. As no tracker requiring your consent is used, no banner asks you for it.
The booking and payment services may apply their own data processing terms when you use their interfaces. Their privacy information should be available at the relevant step of the process.
Your rights and how to exercise them
Depending on the processing and the conditions laid down by the regulations, you can ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, or restrict its use. You may also have a right to object or a right to data portability. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it.
Send your request to contact@lehameaudespresverts.com, stating which right you wish to exercise. Proof of identity may be requested where necessary. You will receive a reply within the time limits set by the regulations.
You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority, at cnil.fr.
