A stay in Normandy from Paris
in the Pays d’Auge
Leave Paris behind for a house in the bocage (hedged farmland): Le Hameau des Prés-Verts welcomes you at Les Champeaux, in the Orne, about three hours by road depending on where you set off from and on the traffic. Come alone, as a pair or in a group, for a few midweek days or a proper holiday.
Reinette Grise sleeps up to 6 and the Chalet Normand up to 4. These two self-contained houses let you settle in, cook and explore the Pays d’Auge without changing accommodation every night.

Coming by car from Paris
Planning the drive to Les Champeaux
Enter the full address in your route planner: 1258 chemin des Manis, 61120 Les Champeaux. The journey time depends on where in Paris you leave from, the route you choose and the traffic. Heavy traffic on the way out of Paris can make the trip noticeably longer.
Parking on site is free. Once you have arrived, your car lets you reach the shops, the markets and the sights of the Pays d’Auge. For a holiday of several days, this freedom makes planning your days much easier.
Choosing when to set off
If your dates are flexible, leaving midweek can give your stay a different rhythm. Either way, check the traffic before you go and let your hosts know your arrival time, as explained in your booking.
Coming by train, then on to the Hameau
Via Argentan from Montparnasse
Argentan station is served from Paris Montparnasse, and it is about 25 minutes by road from the Hameau. Check which trains run on your dates, then arrange the last stretch to Les Champeaux by hire car or by a taxi booked in advance.
Via Lisieux from Saint-Lazare
Lisieux, reached from Paris Saint-Lazare, is another option. From there, allow about forty minutes by road to the Hameau. Compare timetables, car hire terms and the total journey time before choosing your station.
Travelling by train also means thinking ahead about getting around during your holiday: the countryside around Les Champeaux is far easier to explore with a car.
A few days to discover the Pays d’Auge
For a short break, Camembert, the markets and a walk through the bocage already give you a taste of the region. If you stay longer, you can add the Haras national du Pin (France’s national stud), Falaise, Lisieux or a day out towards the Côte Fleurie.
Keep some time at the house between outings. The equipped kitchen, the garden at Reinette Grise or the terrace at the Chalet let you enjoy the place to the full, without turning every day into an itinerary.
Choose one house or book both together
Solo travellers and couples are welcome in both houses. Reinette Grise offers half-timbering, a fireplace and a large private garden; the Chalet Normand has two bedrooms, one leading through to the other, and a heated pool for its guests only in season.
Pets are welcome. Breakfast can be booked as an extra. The outdoor hot tub, at 38 °C, is included, with a slot to book in advance. For a get-together of up to 10 people, you can book both houses together, subject to their availability on the same dates. Get in touch with your hosts to plan your stay and how everyone will be spread between the two houses.
