At Les Champeaux, Le Hameau des Prés-Verts is about ten minutes’ drive from Vimoutiers. You have a house of your own in the bocage (hedged farmland), with the town close by for shopping, everyday services and outings during your stay.
Reinette Grise welcomes up to 6 guests and has a large private garden. The Chalet Normand takes up to 4 and has a heated pool reserved for its guests in season. Both houses have a fitted kitchen and accept pets.

Vimoutiers is a handy place to do your shopping. The shops in the centre and the market let you fill a basket and cook your meals in the gîte. Check the opening hours of the shops you need, especially if you arrive late or on a public holiday.
Having the town so close is useful over a stay of several days: you can combine an errand with a short visit, then head back to the house. A car remains the simplest way to travel between Les Champeaux and the town.

Friday morning is a chance to wander among the stalls of Vimoutiers. You can pick up produce for lunch or dinner, then carry on into the town centre. Keep an eye on local notices in case the market changes day or place.
Discovering the story of camembert and of the town
The Camembert museum sets out the history of the cheese and of the land it comes from. It pairs well with a trip to the village of Camembert or to a producer. Check its opening times and season before you go.

Which house to choose depends on what you are looking for and who is coming: half-timbering and a garden at Reinette Grise, a contemporary interior and a terrace at the Chalet. The latter has two bedrooms, one leading into the other, a layout worth bearing in mind before booking as a group.
