Pool season at the Chalet Normand
At the Chalet Normand, the wooden terrace carries the house right to the water’s edge. When pool season begins, the stay takes on a different rhythm: a swim, a little reading, then a meal prepared without leaving your holiday home.
The outdoor pool is heated to 26°C and reserved for Chalet guests only. It is open from 1 May to 30 September, and may stay open longer depending on the weather. It is worth keeping in mind when you choose your holiday dates.
A day you can spend at home
Mornings around the terrace
Breakfast can be made in the Chalet kitchen or booked as an extra with your hosts. When the weather allows, the terrace becomes the first room of the day. You can then choose a short outing, or simply stay and enjoy the place.
Coming back after a day in the Pays d’Auge
Camembert, Vimoutiers and Livarot offer outings that don’t take the whole day on the road. When you return, the pool and the garden furniture welcome you back to the Chalet. This rhythm of visits and time at home is what makes a stay of several nights so worthwhile.
From spring to the end of September
May days don’t have the same light as those at the height of summer. In September, the bocage begins to turn and holidays take on a gentler pace. Throughout the season, the heated pool is one of the Chalet’s features.
If you are coming after 30 September, check with your hosts before planning a swim: any extension depends on the weather. The house’s booking calendar and the pool season are two things to look at together.
Choosing the Chalet for a stay with a pool
The Chalet sleeps up to 4 people in two double bedrooms, one leading into the other. Solo travellers and couples have the whole house to themselves; families and friends choose it knowing that the second bedroom is reached through the first.
The pool is exclusively for Chalet guests: booking Reinette Grise alone does not include access to it. If you book both houses together, confirm the access arrangements with your hosts. With children, the pool calls for careful supervision whenever it is in use, and around the water.
